I came here with my husband and 11 month old son and will def be returning here in the future, had a wonderful time, staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and spacious and it is a thrown stone away from Bowness Town Centre and the lake, had a great time and will recommend it to anyone in the future.x

Fantastic stay and we will be back here the next time we visit the lakes.
Hotel is situated roughly midway between Windermere station and the lake on the road to Bowness. 599 Bus stop is practically outside the hotel on both sides (take the 599 bus to Bowness from station which is �1.45 single adult or you can take a Taxi from the station which costs around �3.50).
Leisurely stroll to the lake is about 8 mins away down the road from the hotel -if you can stop looking in all the shops between.
Andrew and staff were great with nothing being too much trouble.
Our lake view room and all the hotel was very clean - lovely lounge/bar area. Cocktails went down well with Mrs Park, I stuck with the Guinness with Master Park on the glass bottled Coca-Cola with ice. Monopoly, junior monopoly, chess, scrabble etc available in the bar area for the kids (or adults).
Lovely full english breakfast of bacon, sausage, egg, mushrooms, fried bread, tomato and beans. Toast with butter or flora, jam

Stayed two nights, wished it could have been two weeks! The Hotel and Lake View room Fantastic and a great location. Andrew and staff are very friendly and helpful and go out of there way to make you feel at home.
Breakfast one of the best.
Many thanks Andrew for your time and patients in trying accommodate us.Oh yes Andrew the recommended drive over Wrynose Pass and Hardknotts pass was some experience!! Well worth it for the views. Once again thank you all very much. Will be back soon

Thankyou to all the staff who made our brief stay so welcoming.The hotel and the bedroom is very clean,furnished to a high standard.The bar area is cosy.We watched Enland play Algeria on Friday night along with some of the other hotel guests.The guests too were complimentary about Lonsdale Hotel.Great time,superb location and hot sunny weather.Thanks once again for a lovely stay and accomadating our dog..Our labrador/boxer had a ball.Mike and Yas.

We stayed here for 4 nights for our honeymoon week commencing 7th June 2010. The hotel was 10 out of 10 for everything. I booked the celebration package for my new wife and the room looked amazing. Andrew and his staff were so friendly and always there to help. This was the perfect place to stay and we would recommend to anyone.

I stayed for 4 nights for the week commencing 24th May. The hotel almost feels like a big cosy house rather than a hotel because it is so homely! It was absolutely fantastic. Breakfast was included and the staff were so nice and practically waited on me hand and foot! Andrew especially was very friendly and always had a smile on his face. Lastly, I think the location is perfect. You are just a walk away from Lake Windermere and also just a walk away from the train station. When I come for a break in Bowness again, I will definitely be staying at Lonsdale House.

Phil and i had a lovely stay at the Lonsdale, Andrew and his staff were fantastic, we should have been in Turkey on our 30th wedding anniversarry, we may not had the sun but we had the warmth from them! We will definately be back.

Just had a great stay again at the lonsdale. Staff so friendly and go out of their way to help you. Rooms are always beautiful and so is the breakfast.
